Sage and Song

Solomon loved his father dearly. No wonder he took a liking
to the boy who coaxed sweet melodies from David’s harp.

Sage and Song

Story Summary: During Israel’s golden age, two angels quietly take up residence in the royal household. Asaph and his apprentice have been Sent to record the songs that are David’s legacy. But when Kester finds a harp in the treasury, a song brings him to the king’s attention. The boy soon begins a new collection: sage words from the man whose name means peace. I’m enjoying the story because Kester at any age is Best Angel :), and because it’s entertaining to observe what is and is not important to a young angel not used to living in Time. Power, wealth, personal fear? Nah. God, music and poetry, far more compelling.

I’m enjoying the story because I love learning about back stories of characters. I always love finding the ways that all of the companion stories connect and entwine.

I love this story line because, 1. Kester is really cool. His character to me is a cross between a observer and a worshiper. Which I think is pretty cool how you can mix those together. 2. I just love anything you write!!!! :) they’re perfect for me and I just read the books over and over again. :)
Thanks again for all the work you put into these!

How are you going to continue this story? Are you gonna keep it up until Kester gets Baird as a mentor? I’m just curious. Plus I LOVE LOVE LOVE this story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :)

    • How will I continue? One chapter at a time. And no, I won’t span quite that much time with this story. If you’re curious about how Baird met Kester, that’s already covered in the free (illustrated) short story from Zonderkidz called Angels in Harmony. Make sure to nab that!

      Glad you’re enjoying! : D
