Chapter 203: Places
A voice carried from the front of the Weaver’s house. “Loris, Weft, is Adin here?”
Loris hurried out and returned with Valerian, who stopped short. The tension drained from his posture, and he relaxed into a faint smile. “So this is why you left.”
“I was Sent,” Adin said.
“This time.” Valerian turned his attention to Tamaes. “Welcome home, young explorer.”
Taweel stood awkwardly by, wondering if it was his place to speak, but when he clasped Valerian’s hand, the current overseer registered surprise. Taweel murmured, “I am Sent.”
Valerian’s grip tightened. “As am I. May I see your blade?”
