Chapter 202: Taweel’s Sending
“Sent?” Tamaes glanced from face to face, searching for some hint to his mentor’s dismay. Surely God would not Send Taweel away from him. “If you are Sent, we will go.”
Adin said, “We are the ones waiting for our Sending. Apprentices go, not mentors!”
Which was entirely true. Tamaes’s confusion deepened, and he quietly demanded. “Why are you sad?”
Taweel winced and looked to Loris.
The Weaver gently extracted the tunic from Taweel’s hands and displayed it to the three boys. “This is cause for rejoicing.”
Weft interpreted the new row of stitching first and gasped. “It says Overseer.”
