Chapter 125: Dangerous Dance
Omri was playing a convoluted game of peek-a-boo with Weft from behind Tamaes’s damp hair, but the young Guardian only had eyes for his mentor.
Taweel was reacquainting himself with his sword. The blade swished and sung as he slashed through the air, thrusting and pivoting. There was a grim set to the warrior’s mouth, but Tamaes could see the joy in this dangerous dance.
Stopping short, Taweel tested the sword’s edge with his thumb. His soft grunt sounded displeased, and he glanced up, meeting his apprentice’s gaze. “My sword needs a better edge. You wanted to meet the Forgers?”
