Chapter 279: Nature Scavenger Hunt
Zeke compared a sheet of paper with the items he’d spread on the ground. Ethan peered over his shoulder at the combination of simple words and pictures his mother had prepared. Tapping the list, the boy double-checked his progress, “Pine cone … twig … two kinds of leafs … a feather.”
His “something rough” was a chunk of bark. A caterpillar was his “something fuzzy,” kept safe inside the empty bottle that was his “something to recycle.”
“Momma musta put this one on here for Prissie.” Giving the last item a scowl, Zeke wondered, “Where’m I gonna find something pink?”
