Rough and Tumble, Chapter 276: Spelunking

Chapter 276: Spelunking

Ethan didn’t care for the afternoon spent exploring the network of caves that spread beneath Sunderland State Park. No child of light liked spending time in such deep darkness. But where Zeke went, Ethan would follow. Wings outstretched. Eyes alert. Sword ready.

He and the other Guardians were ill-at-ease, but Ethan’s discomfort turned to dread when a familiar whisper reached his ears. “Prone to wander, prone to leave….”

No one else seemed to have noticed Blight’s sing-song greeting. Heart hammering, Ethan whispered, “Where are you?”

The demon’s response sent a thrill of warning through the young warrior’s soul.

“Familiar territory.”
