Chapter 247: On Their Knees
Jayce knelt down in front of his son. “Sure, sure. Tell me how it works, Zeke.”
While the boy proved he had indeed been paying attention, Ethan bit his trembling lip, then sank to the floor. The terrible game of lies would end in grace? Amazing.
The growing crowd of angels parted to let someone through. Milo fell to his knees beside Ethan. His hair was wild, and his breath came in tight bursts. “This boy … makes me … race.” Tears spilled down the Messenger’s cheeks as he pressed his hand over his heart. “Looks like he always will.”
