Chapter 214: A Wider World
Early the morning after Zeke graduated to a two-wheeler, Ethan jogged after his charge, who wobbled determinedly onto the gravel road.
“Wow. Dad was right,” Tad remarked from his seat on the fence. “Where are you going, Zeke?”
His oldest brother shook his head. “You’re not allowed to ride down Orchard Lane without a buddy, and you’re not allowed on the highway. Period.”
Zeke pouted. “But …!”
Tad patiently asked, “How far could you go on the trike?”
“And what’s your range now?”
Ethan breathed a sigh of relief when Tad graciously agreed to be Zeke’s buddy.
