Chapter 99: Precious in His Sight
“Sure, sure. Zeke’s not shy,” Jayce replied, setting the little boy on his feet. “Go say hi to Mr. Leggett.”
Without hesitation, Zeke toddled over to the newcomer, reached up, and grabbed the Messenger’s nose. Milo … honked.
“’Onk!” echoed Zeke.
“Honk!” Milo agreed, scooping up the youngster and swinging him from side to side.
As his charge giggled, Ethan stole closer, amazed to think that his Zeke was safely cradled in the arms of an angel.
With a chuckle, the divine Messenger addressed Zeke in gentle tones. “Hey there, young sir. Do you have any idea how much you’re loved?”
