Chapter 98: Kid Friendly
Milo sat in the middle of the family room floor and was quickly mobbed by children. He gave the Pomeroy youngsters his full attention, chatting amiably with each. Ethan was awed by how easily the Messenger wove each Guardian’s message into his conversation, turning them into words of encouragement. Tad’s respect. Neil’s discernment. Prissie’s loyalty. Beau’s faith.
“You’re good with kids,” Jayce remarked, joining their guest on the floor. He brought a freshly-scrubbed Zeke with him.
“I’ve always been a people person,” the mailman replied. Ethan’s breath caught when Milo held out his hands and asked, “Can I hold him?”
